Um estudo sobre as necessidades e o comportamento informacional dos consultores legislativos da câmara dos deputados

Abstract

This is a research that studies the needs and information behavior (the use, frequency of use, relevance conception of information sources and search forms) of the Legislative Consultants of Chamber of Deputies. The objective is identify these facets in order to support projects ofimprovements of the information services offered to them by the Centre for Documentation and Information (CEDI) of the Chamber of Deputies. It is used the literature and questionnaires, to collect, respectively, data on the work context and the needs and information behavior of Legislative Consultants. Concludes that, in general level, about the information behavior of Legislative Consultants, these professionals use electronic sources to perform their jobs. On the micro level, note that there is some heterogeneity between the areas of consulting, due mainly to the existence of disciplinary differences. About the information needs, it appears that the nature of the problems of consultants is associated with access to government documents. The criticisms and suggestions made by the consultants on the services provided by Cedi indicate the information needs of these users.
