| Abstract: | O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar uma revisão de literatura sobre a soldagem a laser em próteses odontológicas. A soldagem a laser passou a ser utilizada na odontologia para a confecção de próteses fixas a partir da década de 70. No Brasil, a soldagem por laser foi introduzida em 1997 e tem sido empregada em substituição aos demais processos de soldagem, principalmente ao de brasagem, na confecção de próteses odontológicas Cada liga apresenta características diferentes, que irão influenciar no resultado do processo de soldagem como também os parâmetros físicos da máquina a laser. O presente trabalho irá descrever as vantagens e desvantagens da soldagem a laser, suas indicações e limitações. |
| Abstract: | The objective of this work is to present a literature review of laser welding on dental prosthesis. The laser welding is becoming increasingly used in dentistry for making fixed prosthesis since the 70's. In Brazil, the laser welding was introduced in 1997 and has been used to replace other welding processes, especially at the soldering in the manufacture of dental prostheses. Each alloy has different attributes that will influence the outcome of the welding process as well as the physical parameters of the laser machine. This work will describe the advantages and disadvantages of laser welding, its indications and limitations. |
