Metodologia para o ensino da ilustração infantil: reflexões e complementações

Abstract

This research intends to be a theoretical and practical subsidy for both teachers and students interested in the art of illustration. It makes the presentation of a methodology of teaching illustration for teenagers and adults, describing its practical activities and part of its theory. After, some relevant points are selected, both positive and/or negative, in order to a make an analytical and critical reflection on them. In these reflections, readaptations are made on the methodology applied to students from CENEX/EBA, in 2006. Some items of theory are studied and complemented in its contents in order to bring another way of putting it. New suggestions for practical activities are also proposed. The methodological readaptations are intended to contribute for the teaching of children's illustration to happen more consistently and efficiently. It tries to get the students to develop their creativity to produce images, thinking in the multiples graphic, plastic, visual and physical possibilities existing in the interactions between text, image and support. The additions in the methodology seek a theoretical content that privileges the formal and conceptual part of the illustration. These are ways to enhance the visual repertoire of the student and provide information about the creative process of the illustrator, helping him to design your own images. Likewise, the additions in the practice seeks to present activities that foster the intimacy of the student with the act of illustrating and allow him to develop his originality for the images creation.
