Orientação de pacientes com feridas: uma ação educativa

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the importance of educational activities directed by nurses to patients with wounds. For this work we used the literature review, and scientific books on the subject in question papers were consulted. The papers were collected from the aggregatebases Virtual Health Library, using descriptors and related terms. To describe the importance of educational activity to patients with wounds, was taken a brief review of the concept of wounds, their classification, as well as the phases of healing in order to support the educational activities of the nurse. Obtivi main results educational activities as one of theguiding principles of action of the nurse and emphasizes the various areas of nursing practice.The image of nursing is seen always associated with the caregiver role and the care heeducates and seeks to create a co-responsibility with the other, increasing the autonomy of thesubject about your health. Thus, education can be considered a form of caring and caring is a way of educating. Educating for health is to go beyond curative care, emphasizing preventiveand promotional activities, recognizing users of health services as subjects with knowledge and living conditions, encouraging them to strive for higher quality of life and dignity
