A construção do conhecimento através de atividades investigativas: o sistema digestório e uma visita ao Museu de Morfologia.

Abstract

This work is inserted in the field of Science education and in the construction of knowledge using investigative activities. The aim of this work was to analyze the efficiency of the development of an investigative didactic sequence, using the STS (Science, Technology and Society) approach, through a visit to the Museum, focusing on the study of the digestive system. The chosen subjects were 8th grader at Edir Terezinha de Almeida Fagundes School, at Betim city, Minas Gerais state. The work was done through observations, speeches, video transmition, debates and questionnaires. Thus, a research result was made from inferences based on observations and the answers to the questionnaire, as well as analysis of the final evaluation of the students. It was found that this type of pedagogical approach enabled students to become protagonists of their learning process with a greater opportunity to interact, and allow concepts built could be incorporated into their interpretations of reality. Throughout the study, students asked questions and proposed similar work in school. It can be concluded that the use of combined investigative activities to a visit to the Museum of Morphological Sciences at UFMG favored the teaching of Human Digestive System. At the end of the survey, it was possible to realize the construction of knowledge and a greater interest and student learning, which allowed the teacher to reflect their practice
