Avaliação da transferência de passageiros em terminais de integração

Abstract

Public transport is seen as the best alternative to democratize displacements and ensure equity for all citizens in an increasingly urban world. Its use brings rationality to the urban space contributing to the sustainable development and social inclusion. In recent years, several investments have been made in public transport with the aim of making it more efficient and competitive. In pursuit of these objectives, integrated transport systems have been implemented in several cities, making it increasingly common for users of public transport to make transfers during their trip. This work carries out an evaluation of the transfer of passengers at the Integration Station of Pampulha, a component of the BRT MOVE system in Belo Horizonte. This evaluation is carried out by means of the direct measurement of the time of the transfer of passengers in the station and by surveys that evaluate the perception of station users and specialists in public transportation. Among the results, the time of transfer in the station in the morning period, in average, 5 minutes (±2 minutes). In the afternoon, this time increases to an average of 8-15 minutes (±5 minutes), depending on the feeder bus line evaluated. In addition, there is a positive assessment of travel time and waiting for the trunk lines, showing that the user realizes the benefits of the BRT system. The worst performance attribute, according to the perception of the users, was the level of occupancy, referring to the density of passengers by bus, both the feeder system and the trunk system.
