| Abstract: | O objetivo desta dissertação é fazer uma análise comparativa entre dois movimentos literários no âmbito da poesia de cidade grande: o expressionismo alemão e o modernismo brasileiro. Por ser a configuração social típica do século XX, a cidade grande foi escolhida como objeto de estudo para se compreender as concepções modernas de sujeito e tempo, assim como as vanguardas em questão. Com base nos estudos de Georg Simmel e de Walter Benjamin a respeito da experiência do sujeito na modernidade urbana, buscou-se nos objetos contemplados aquilo que se configura como seus traços convergentes, ou seja, suas afinidades eletivas. |
| Abstract: | The objective of the present dissertation is the comparative analysis of two literary movements in the scope of the poetry from the city: the German expressionism and the Brazilian modernism. The big city has been chosen as an object of study because it is considered the typical social organization from the twentieth century. The intention is tocomprehend the modern concepts of subject and time and their relationship with the analyzed vanguards. The works of Georg Simmel and Walter Benjamin about the experience in the urban modernity has been taken as theoretical basis in order to search the similaritiesbetween the literary movements, in other words, their elective affinities |
