| Abstract: | Neste trabalho é estudado o limite de campos fracos e velocidades baixas da teoria TeVeS de Bekenstein através do formalismo parametrizado pós-newtoniano, possibilitando seu confronto com dados experimentais, bem como a análise dos limites específicos nos quais a teoria se reduz à Relatividade Geral e ao modelo não-relativístico da MOND. Também são discutidos a motivação e o desenvolvimento das idéias para se chegar a essa teoria, que se apresenta como uma alternativa à suposição da existência de Matéria Escura. |
| Abstract: | In this work the slow-motion, weak-field limit of Bekensteins TeVeS theory is studied through the parametrized post-newtoniam formalism, making possible its confrontation with experimental data, as well as the analysis of the specific limits in which the theory reduces to General Relativity and to the non-relativistic MOND model. The motivationand the development of ideas to support this theory, which is presented as an alternative to the assumption of the existence of Dark Matter, are also discussed. |
