Avaliação da eficácia de alguns processos de recuperação nas edificações do Tribunal de Justiça do Estado de Minas Gerais

Abstract

The rehabilitation/repair process of buildings, due to its pathological problems, initially calls for a detailed study in order to aid in the choice of the most suitable treatment. This study must also go beyond technical matters and also consider the cost-effectiveness of this treatment for the edification. Another important factor which must be taken into account concerning recuperation and reinforcement of edifications is the post-recuperation follow-up, for is through this support which one is able to verify the efficiency of the treatment. In this stage one may also confirm the efficiency or rejects in case the treatment is believed to have been inefficient for pathological problems of the same nature, therefore avoiding unnecessary expenses. Having in mind the goal of post-recuperation analysis, we sought after a public organization in the edification market in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil which had previously undergone some type of recuperation or reinforcement. Initially, the most recurrent pathologies and methods of treatment were examined. Upon obtaining this information, the proper edifications and pathologies were defined for the object of this study. Moreover, the case studies were based on 8 (eight) edifications in 7 (seven) different cities throughout the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. All chosen edifications went through a recuperation and/or reinforcement process in the last 3 years. Therefore, this paper will demonstrate, through visits taken place in these edifications, if the aforementioned adopted methods were efficient; while emphasizing the analysis of the initial therapeutic measures and verifying the possible reoccurrence of the pathologies due to treatment problems. Finally, in the event of the return of pathological problems, new therapeutic measures will be proposed.
