| Abstract: | Grande parte das pesquisas empíricas e teóricas para detectar mudanças nos parâmetros em modelos não-lineares vem sendo acumuladas durante as últimas duas décadas. Diante disso, ainda não existe um consenso sobre o melhor teste estatístico para a detecção de quebras estruturais. O objetivo deste trabalho é fazer um estudo sobre os principais testes da família CUSUM para detectar pontos de mudanças nos parâmetros e comparar as suas taxas de rejeições. A investigação procedeu-se por meio de simulações de Monte Carlo na família de processos Auto-Regressivos Condicionalmente Heterocedásticos, ARCH. O estudo indica a robustez de cada teste sob mudanças dos parâmetros na suposição da variância incondicional ser pouco alterada. Palavras-chave: Pontos de mudanças, ARCH e CUSUM. Sim |
| Abstract: | Since 1980 theoretical and empirical researches to detect changes in the parameters of non-linear models have been accumulated. In this context, there is still no consensus on the best statistical test for the detection of structural breaks. This work aims to make a study about main tests of the CUSUM family to detect points of parameters changes, and to compare their rejection rates. This behavior was investigated through Monte Carlo simulations in the family of Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity, ARCH, processes. The simulation indicates the robustness of each test on parameters change under the assumption of unconditional variance is little changed. Keywords: Points of changes, ARCH and CUSUM. |
