Resumo
As águas subterrâneas são objetos de estudo em todo o Quadrilátero Ferrífero, por
apresentar grandes reservas de água, que contribuem no abastecimento da Região Metropolitana de
Belo Horizonte. Este estudo foi realizado para auxiliar os órgãos ambientais na toma de decisões para
o gerenciamento dos recursos hídricos, permitindo identificar áreas com maior potencial para
instalação de poços. Para compreender os níveis das águas subterrâneas no Sinclinal Moeda, porção
oeste do Quadrilátero Ferrífero, é necessário coletar dados de medição em pontos de monitoramento.
Entretanto, esses pontos estão distribuídos de forma irregular. O objetivo do trabalho é através da
interpolação “topo to raster”, técnica utilizada para estimar valores desconhecidos, criar um mapa de
profundidade do nível da água no Sinclinal Moeda, afim de obter informações onde não há dados
suficientes. A metodologia de trabalho teve como base interpolação e construção de seções
hidrogeológicas utilizando os softwares ArcGIS e CorelDRAW. O mapa da profundidade do nível da
água mostrou uma distribuição anisotrópica e algumas regiões com predomínio de nível estático
elevados, como nas porções nordeste e sudoeste.
Abstract
Groundwater is the subject of study throughout the Iron Quadrangle, as it has large water reserves that contribute to the supply of the Belo Horizonte Metropolitan Region. This study was conducted to assist environmental agencies in making decisions for the management of water resources, allowing them to identify areas with the greatest potential for the installation of wells. In order to understand the groundwater levels in the Moeda Syncline, the western portion of the Iron Quadrangle, it is necessary to collect measurement data at monitoring points. However, these points are distributed irregularly. The objective of the study is to create a depth map of the water level in the Moeda Syncline using “topo to raster” interpolation, a technique used to estimate unknown values, in order to obtain information where there is insufficient data. The work methodology was based on interpolation and construction of hydrogeological sections using ArcGIS and CorelDRAW software. The water level depth map showed an anisotropic distribution and some regions with a predominance of high static levels, such as in the northeast and southwest portions.
