A literatura menor de Graciliano Ramo: uma cartografia de Infância.

Abstract

The proposal of this dissertation is to outline a cartography of Infância, by Graciliano Ramos, in intersection with the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. We shall investigate three particular elements from Infância: the matter of style, which is a fundamental aspect when referring to Graciliano Ramos; the connection between educational institutions and the justice/law duality; the narrator and the intriguing interaction with the narrated subject, comprehending the matter of time and memory. We will connect such elements to the concept of minor literature, elaborated by Deleuze and Guattari, taking into consideration its three characteristics: language deterritorialization, the link between the individual in the political immediacy and the the intermediation of the collective enunciation. We will aim to articulate those three characteristics into Infância, relating them to the specific aspects previously identified in Graciliano Ramoss work. That way, the deterritorialization of the language will be connected to the writers style; the linkage of the political immediacy, the matter of institutions and the duality of justice/law; the intermediation of the collective enunciation, to the narrator.
