Contribuição do Conselho Municipal de Assistência Social enquanto instrumento de governança local

Abstract

This article presents results of a study that aimed to analyze the contribution of the Municipal Council of Social Assistance as a local governance tool. Pointing out the importance of this subject in the current conjuncture and in the public administration. It was observed during the study absence of bibliographic reference on the subject. The general objective of this article is to analyze the studies about the Council of Social Assistance in the municipality as an instrument of local governance, seeking to broaden the concept of Governance in Public Management; Identify the structure and activities developed by CMAS - Municipal Council of Social Assistance; Identify the relationship of the activities developed by CMAS - Municipal Council of Social Assistance with the principle of Public Governance; Check that within the actions / functions of the Directors there is the contribution and / or relation to the practice of local governance. For the study was based, in a bibliographical research, in several authors analyzing various approaches and theories regarding the subject, such as books, specialized magazines, internet researches and also the main authors were Silva etal. (2011), Freitas (2015), Albuquerque (2006).
