O meme e as redes de enunciação: um estudo semântico-enunciativo no espaço digital

Abstract

An enunciative-based semantics provides to the study of language an alliance between elements of the utterance and enunciation orders for the study of meaning. This association allows linguists for a socio-historical approach to language through linguistic arrangements that are anchored in different enunciative possibilities, establishing a relationship between materiality and the symbolic. Therefore, we understand that the relational aspect of meaning is constituted from the tensions of utterance networks through regularities and differences. In this direction, we will discuss in this paper the contours that the concept of "network" can possess in formulating the reflections that such a semantic perspective aims to accomplish. Consequently, parallel to the methodological systematizations of enunciative networks developed by Dias (2018, 2023), we will examine the relationship of the network with memory supported by the anchorages and projections of linguistic forms, as well as explore networks in the context of the internet and their configuration in the digital space. The relation among of these three perspectives will constitute enunciative networks and the movement of networked individualization in the production of meaning. Furthermore, we will investigate how the enunciative networks permeate the notions of space, speaker, time, and history. From these associations, we intend to analyze to what extent the relationships between visible and non-visible domains of linguistic forms in networks occur, based on memes, in the digital space from the perspective of Historical Semantics of Enunciation. Considering the dynamism and evolution of language on the internet, we have chosen the meme as the object of analysis in order to examine how enunciative networks are organized and how they continue in the process of enunciative occurrence. Regarding the research methodology, we will use linguistic forms of memes as search entries on cyberspace research platforms, based on the methodological process of enunciative networks. Therefore, with this study, we intend to elucidate how linguistic forms, through memes, a presented in the digital space in enunciative networks inserted in the process of networked individualization which does not exclude the individual aspect of speaker manifestation, but which associates it with a historicism permeated by references and points of view.
