Resumo
Uma parte importante da filosofia de Immanuel Kant foi dedicada à fundamentação do conhecimento humano e, particularmente, à explicação das bases a priori da física newtoniana. Assim, tendo em vista o tratamento que Kant ofereceu para as questões filosóficas suscitadas pela mecânica clássica, este trabalho tratou de: i)compreender do ponto de vista kantiano a necessidade da constituição de uma filosofia da ciência da natureza; ii) explicitar como ele desenvolveu, de modo sistemático e articulado, a conexão existente entre os princípios do entendimento puro, apresentados na Crítica da Razão Pura (1781, 1787), e os princípios da física newtoniana; iii) compreender como ele interpretou a mecânica newtoniana a partir das leis gerais do entendimento.
Abstract
An important part of Immanuel Kant’s philosophy was dedicated to the foundation of human knowledge and, in particular, to the explanation of the a priori bases of Newtonian physics. In view of the treatment that Kant offered to the philosophical questions raised by classical mechanics this work dealt with: i) understand form a Kantian point of view the need for the constitution of a natural science philosophy; ii) explain how he developed, in a systematic and articulated way, the existing connection between the principles of pure understanding, presented in the Critique of Pure Reason (1781, 1787), and the principles of Newtonian physics; iii) understand
how he interpreted Newtonian mechanics from the general laws of understanding.
