Resumo
Este estudo buscou apresentar a contribuição da disciplina de Arte na implementação da lei
10.639/03 na escola através de estudos sobre a cultura africana e artistas africanos. Através do
período de coleta de dados foi difícil identificar textos e produções relacionadas a arte e artista
africanos e voltada para os estudantes do ensino fundamental, em contrapartida foram identificados
inúmeros estudos que destacavam artistas europeus e outras partes do mundo. Este estudo
permitiu que estudantes do 3º ciclo tivessem através das aulas de arte a oportunidade de
terem contato com a riqueza da cultura africana e do trabalho desenvolvido por pintores
africanos de uma forma positiva
Abstract
This study aimed to present the contribution to the Art discipline in the implementation of
the law 10.639/03 at school through studies about African culture and African artists.
Throughout the data collection period it was difficult to identify texts and other
productions related to African art and artists and geared for elementary school students, on
the other hand it has been identified several studies that highlighted European artists and
others from other parts of the world. This study allowed students from the third cycle to
have, through the art classes, the opportunity to get in touch with the richness of the
African culture and with the work developed by African painters in a positive way.
