Abstract

His study presents an analysis of the implementation of a didactic sequence developed to address aspects of the Nature of Science (NoS) with high school students. Within this sequence, the history of the discovery of radioactivity and the trajectory of Marie Curie serve as catalysts for discussions concerning the characteristics of science, since understanding the NoS contributes to the critical development of students. The sequence was structured in the following stages: an initial questionnaire, the screening of the film Radioactive, a discussion session, an experimental activity, and a final questionnaire. The results revealed that students exhibited certain misconceptions about science, similar to those reported in the literature, as well as the emergence of important features of scientific practice throughout the research process.
