Abstract

This work was developed from the need for theoretical studies about the information society context and knowledge of the new paradigms of creation, access and sharing of information and knowledge, which have affected the management of corporations. It aims to present a conceptual and practical framework with an interactive approach to the area in question. It was intended to bridge the gap between academia and practice, between the university and the organization, offering new proposals for reflection and use relevant information, knowledge and intelligence in the enterprise. Aims at presenting, through a literature search, the concept of information and knowledge, especially, provide a conceptual framework bringing the approaches of various areas with a focus on information, knowledge and intelligence: information science; information management; knowledge management and competitive intelligence. It presents discussions that point to the relationship between the various disciplines and approaches to be used in work with information and knowledge generating intelligence. Defends knowledge sharing thesis in organizations in an environment of trust and seeks to demonstrate how the use of the IC can change the competitive ability and the strategic positioning of the company.
