Resumo
Este trabalho, cujo objetivo é investigar, a partir de uma perspectiva histórica, a obra de Magda Soares, trata do recorte de um projeto interinstitucional em desenvolvimento em duas instituições mineiras, a Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) e a Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF). Apresentamos o inventário da produção intelectual de Soares no período em que atuou na UFMG, ou seja, entre 1959 e 1998, ano de sua aposentadoria. Os dados revelam sua atuação como professora de graduação e pós-graduação, como orientadora de teses e dissertações, engajada nos estudos da linguagem e educação, em especial da alfabetização. A análise é preliminar, entretanto os dados inventariados se apresentam como importante fonte para pesquisas no campo da alfabetização, leitura e escrita.
Abstract
This paper aims to investigate, from a historical perspective, the work of Magda Soares. It is the result of an inter-institutional project developed at two institutions in Minas Gerais: the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF). We present an inventory of Soares' intellectual production during the period she worked at UFMG, that is, between 1959 and 1998, the year she retired. The data reflect her work as an undergraduate and graduate professor, as a thesis and dissertation adviser, engaged in studies of language and education, particularly literacy. The analysis is preliminary; however, the inventoried data collected are presented as a valuable resource for research in the fields of literacy, reading, and writing.
