Figurações do feminino: a mulher, a escrita e a puta em Marguerite Duras

Abstract

This thesis investigated how some figurations of the feminine the woman, the writing and the whore are depicted in O Arrebatamento, O Vice-Cônsul, O Amante and La Pute de La Côte Normande by Marguerite Duras. To achieve this goal we did a research on how the look, through the writing, builds the bodies of the characters in these books. Finally, we realized that the figuration whore was the most enigmatic one since it was present in the text as a meaningless exclamation, near the madness and the feminine outside the phallic order. We can state that in these books the woman, the writing and the whore become close and so they build a field outside the representation like expressions of the Lacanian real in the fashion of Barthesian figurations.
