E se aqui gente morasse? Teatro, cidade histórica e patrimônio cultural em Tiradentes (MG)

Abstract

This article will address the mess that have become increasingly present in the process of creating interventions. The Florists and Dona Juta, that result from the project "Here in this house arrives: Theatre Residence in the City of Tiradentes. Addressing the relationship between the city, the patrimony cultural and tourism, from a theatrical perspective. In a delicate context in which the fact that the historical center was taken over by activities linked to tourism, which of the one hand, was responsible for their vitalization of the city, on the other, end up causing the native inhabitants to be taken more and more for housing located on’the out skirts of the city. How to create a theatrical work that can promote the bridge between these two realities in order to problematize the notions of belongings shaken by the process of gentrification is the central question to be addressed. The references to address the relationship between theater and the city will come from the dialogue with the traditional manifestations of Brazilian popular culture, which perceive the street and public spaces not only as places of presentation but as spaces of coexistence, occupied in the most varied forms. Also will be extracted the references of the traditional practices that still exist in the surroundings, as a way to value these manifestation sand also reinforce the group's belonging today in discomfort with the city seen as the backdrop for festival sand festivals. Proposing a theatre that happens next to the city, without having to close streets or set upstages, once the street and other public and private spaces will be converted into places of creative experimentation.
