Abstract: | This research aims to present a reading about the alterity in the following works by Minas Gerais playwright Grace Passô: Por Elise (2012), Amores Surdos (2012), and Vaga Carne (2018). For the analysis was privileged from the philosophical perspective of Emmanuel Lévinas, in order to understand a relationship of responsibility between the characters of the three stories. In the theoretical approach, to work the structure of the dramatic text, we consider, mainly, the assumptions of Jean-Pierre Ryngaert (1996; 1998) and Peter Szondi (2001). In addition, we take a historical perspective of Brazilian theater, from Sábato Magaldi (2004), Décio de Almeida Prado (1988), and Elza Cunha de Vincenzo (1992), in order to articulate the social context and written production for the theater. Therefore, we tried to reverberate such a relationship in the dramaturgy of Passô, that is, to read and take up a perspective of alterity as a power for writing to the theater from now. |
