Abstract: The present work is about the theme of Youth who lived in Republics, a policy addressed to young people aged 18 to 21 years old who have come from institutional care. In the survey on Psychology productions, a shortage of material was found. Therefore, the discussion was carried out based on a non-systematic search for regarding issues that pervade the integral protection practices addressed to youth. We go through the complexity of the concept of youth and the centrality of the right to family life in order to question how protection practices are addressed to this youth, with the horizon of the prolongation of the pandemic and considering the crossing of race and class. Finally, the work points to the need for productions about the theme in order to support the ethical practice of psychology and to promote practices built in conjunction with this population, as one of the ways of facing racial and social inequalities.
