Análise exploratória da produção de conhecimento na região sul do Brasil e as relações universidade-empresa

Abstract

The notion of Regional Innovation System assists the understanding of the innovation and learning process in a given regionand the contribution of this work is to study the production of knowledge in theSouth Region of Brazil. The goal is to map the knowledge production in the states of Santa Catarina, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul, the data is from the Directory of Research Groups of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, and we then check which institutions each state has that are more productive in terms of producing literature (articles published in national and international journals) per researcher. From the mapping of these institutions, we analyze the relationships of these institutions with companies, focusing on channels of knowledge exchanges and relationship types. The analysis of these relationships can assist in the understanding of the ways in which there is the formation process of learning and building skills, both essential to the innovation process in the South of Brazil
