Abstract: | The objective of this work is to analyze the ontological foundations of the modern status socialis according to the philosophy of Henrique Cláudio de Lima Vaz. For this, the two main western political paradigms will be presented, namely, the Greek polis and the modern society. Once the lima-vazian philosophy points out the bases of a critique of the modern political paradigm, the starting point of this work is an analysis of the central modern political categories, especially modern reason (always opposed to the ancient one). After this, the main foundations of the Greek polis will be presented, which is constituted from an affective-existential perspective in which the ethical-being, which has practical rationality as its directive axis, rises as a political-being to constitute itself in a true ethical-political community, in which there is the teleological intention of concretizing the Good as an End. Therefore, the research presents a model of modern political community, marked by technical-operational wisdom, whose objective ends in the productive-satisfactory efficiency itself, that is, in the individualistic demiurgy of the modern subject. Finally, it points to the possibility of building an ethical community in the face of a cultural horizon permeated by individualism and technoscience. |
