Abstract: | INTRODUCTION: The objectives of this study were to critically analyze and summarize the literature on studies that evaluated the Minimal Clinically Important-Minimum Clinically Important Difference-MCID indices of measurement instruments in activity and participation levels for children and adolescents with CP. METHODS: Scope review that followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) extension, following the following steps: (1) specification of the review objective; (2) search, identification and selection of potential studies; (3) a defined plan for extracting and categorizing the data; and (4) reporting the results. RESULTS: Of the studies found, a total of 14 dealt with instruments related to the ICF Activity and Participation domain. There is heterogeneity in the choice of the method used, although the combination of the two methods was the most used. It is now known that the anchoring-based method or a combination of both methods are the most recommended. The included studies had a total of 1585 participants, with a mean age of participants of 8.17 years and classification regarding the level of functionality in GMFCS levels I to V, with the majority being classified in levels I to III. |
