| Abstract: | Ao optar por um ensino baseado no contexto, a ênfase se dirige para o tema e os conceitos são usados para potencializar a compreensão desse tema, mediante a articulação deles com os domínios social e tecnológico. Este trabalho foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de investigar contribuições do ensino de Química na perspectiva CTS para a apropriação de conhecimentos científicos. Para isso desenvolvemos uma sequência didática temática com duas turmas de Educação de Jovens e Adultos. Analisamos o desempenho dos estudantes nos instrumentos de avaliação formal da escola antes e após essa experiência acontecer e ancoramos essa análise nos vídeos das aulas, que foram gravadas. Percebemos um incremento no interesse e no envolvimento dos estudantes em relação às aulas anteriores e um desempenho nas avaliações bem acima do anteriormente apresentado. Com isso, argumentamos pela importância de desenvolver aulas de Química com temas de relevância social e científica, que promovam um maior envolvimento dos estudantes e a inserção de conceitos científicos que auxiliem a entender o tema. |
| Abstract: | When handling with an education based on context, the focus is directed towards the subject and concepts are used in order to maximize the understanding of this subject according to their articulation with social and technological spheres. This study aims to investigate contributions of the field of Chemistry education under a STS perspective for the acquisition of scientific knowledge. For such, a thematic, a didactic sequence was developed with two classes of Youth and Adult Education. The performance of students was analyzed using the formal assessment tools of the school before and after this experiment was conducted, basing the analysis on recordings of the classes. An increase in interest and involvement of students was perceived regarding previous classes, as well as an exceedingly high performance in the assessments compared to what was previously seen. With this, we stress the importance of creating Chemistry classes with topics of social and scientific relevance, thus promoting more involvement from students and the insertion of scientific concepts that assist in understanding the subject. |
