Abstract: | This article describes the synthesis of six palladium complexesderived from threebis-imines or their corresponding amines. These metallic complexes were evaluated as promising cata-lysts for Heck reaction. The potential of such organometalliccatalysts was investigated using the coupling between bromo-benzene and styrene as reaction model, involving evaluation ofranging bases, different solvents, reaction times and the quan-tity of palladium catalyst. Our findings indicate that the com-plexes obtained from amines are better than those fromimines. Dimethyl acetamide (DMA) and sodium carbonate werethe best solvents and bases in the Heck coupling reaction, re-spectively. In summary, these Schiff bases and correspondingamines provide an innovative opportunity to develop new cat-alytic systems for the Heck reaction |
