| Abstract: | O presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar as reverberações produzidas pelas políticas de ações afirmativas e o projeto de universidade negra desenvolvidos na Universidade Federal do Recôncavo da Bahia a partir da atuação implicada e engajada de gestores/as negros/as responsáveis pela Pró-Reitoria de Ações Afirmativas e Assuntos Estudantis (PROPAAE) da universidade. Este artigo é resultado de uma pesquisa qualitativa em que foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com oito sujeitos envolvidos na gestão da PROPAAE entre os anos de 2009 e 2016. A pesquisa revelou que os programas e propostas encampados por esses sujeitos produziram uma política orientada pelo vislumbre de um projeto de universidade ancorado na perspectiva da igualdade e da equidade racial que pode se materializar por meio das ações afirmativas. |
| Abstract: | The purpose of this article is to discuss the reverberations of the affirmative action policies and the black university project developed by the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB -Brazil), considering the dedicated and committed actions of black managers and directors in charge of the Department of Affirmative Action and Student Affairs (PROPAAE). This article is the result of a qualitative study in which eight semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight subjects involved in the administration of that Department during 2009-2016. The study reveals that the programs and proposals promoted by those subjects encouraged policies based both on affirmative action and on the conception of a university that is rooted in racial equality and equity perspectives. |
