Contextualização, interpretação e criação de imagens luminosas em sala de aula

Abstract

This research starts from the need to understand the guiding principles of artistic practices in the classroom as well as to identify the characteristics of the production of images in the teaching of Visual Arts, its qualities and multiple characteristics. The interest in the research topic is due to an old question of a student: What is light and shadow? Another reason for the insistence on this issue is that in the school environment, both in the morning shift and in the afternoon shift, the incidence of the Sun inside the room brought some events that drew attention. In addition to the issue of discomfort, the projection of the sun's rays onto some light-reflecting objects produced thought-provoking images. The objective of this research is to investigate essential characteristics of the light element, as well as to make a brief immersion in the study on the influence of light on imagery compositions and the collection of artists who use it as pictorial matter to confer aesthetic and conceptual excellence in their works of art. It is sought through these theoretical references on this essential element to artistic production to list practical issues from an aesthetic experience in the classroom. This research is based on the study of contemporary theoretical approaches on the teaching of arts that dialogue with educational theories that privilege visual culture and constructivist theory, the main one being the triangular approach presented by Ana Mae Barbosa. It is expected that at the end of the work the students can experience artistic choices that dialogue with their personal convictions, that interact with the different forms of cultural artistic expression and that understand the role of Art for human formation.
