Abstract: | Although there has been an undeniable sporting, economic and social growth in football played by women in the last decade, there are still few scientific productions dedicated to understanding the universe of fans in this area. With this in mind, this exploratory study, carried out in 2021, sought to know fans of women's football teams from Belo Horizonte who participated in the Brazilian Championship (Series A1 and A2 - 2020), as well as how they accompany them and relate to football through media and consumption. A form was created with questions about the monitoring of teams and consumption around cheering. Young heterosexual women, partly white, partly black and mixed, and who earn an individual income above R$3,300 or between R$1,000 and 3,000 made up the majority of research participants. In relation to digital media, the main means to follow the teams nowadays are the social networks on the internet, which offer a greater possibility of accessing information about the teams from Minas Gerais. |
