Educação antirracista: uma discussão sobre os relatos de experiência de egressas da UFMG

Abstract

Law 10,639/2003 completed twenty-one years of its implementation in 2024, being a milestone in the Teaching of History and the contribution of black people to the cultural formation of Brazil. This research aims to understand how Law 10.639/2003 has been implemented in schools, based on the analysis of experience reports of RME/BH teachers, UFMG graduates, at the beginning of their careers. The subjects of our research are teachers at the beginning of their careers, graduating from the Pedagogy course, after the creation of Law 10,639/2003. We will seek to investigate and understand whether anti-racist education practices exist and how they are carried out in the early years of elementary school, carried out by beginning teachers, graduates of the Pedagogy course. This qualitative study used semi-structured interviews as a data collection instrument. Data analysis took place from the perspective of Content Analysis. It is hoped that this work will contribute to expanding the discussion on Ethnic-Racial Relations and so that teachers in the early years of elementary school contemplate, in the school environment, the diversity that exists in society.
