| Abstract: | Este trabalho apresenta uma leitura constelar da obra de Chico Buarque, tendo como arcabouço teórico os escritos de Walter Benjamin, principalmente as 'Teses sobre o conceito de história', em busca de novas figurações da mulher que passaram a compor, principalmente a partir da década de 1990, a sua já vasta galeria de perfis femininos. A hipótese é a de que Chico Buarque recolhe, compara e emenda restos de personagens de nosso universo cultural (personagens canônicas da literatura e das canções da MPB) para construir à semelhança de um mosaico suas figurações femininas mais recentes. Tal 'método de montagem' dá origem a personagens fragmentárias, complexas e multifacetadas que se distanciam dos estereótipos que, comumente, estigmatizaram a mulher por meio de imagens fechadas, idealizadas e opressoras |
| Abstract: | This paper presents a constellation reading of the work of Chico Buarque, having as theoretical framework the texts of Walter Benjamin, especially the Theses on the Philosophy of History, in the attempt to stablish the new images of women that were included in his already extensive gallery of female profiles, mostly the ones that have been created since the 1990s. The hypothesis is that Chico Buarque, as the ragpicker of Baudelaire, quoted by Benjamin, gathers, compares, and sews remains of characters of our cultural universe (canonical characters of literature and MPB songs) in order to build a mosaic of his most recent female figurations. This method leads to fragmented, complex, and multifaceted characters, that move away from the stereotypes which commonly stigmatized woman with closed, idealized, and oppressive images |
