Abstract: | This thesis studies the relationship among literature and republic in the works Numa e a Ninfa, by Lima Barreto, Macunaíma, o herói sem nenhum caráter, by Mário de Andrade and Terras do sem-fim, by Jorge Amado. It is not only about some thematic approach, since the categories were opened as a referential field in which the intersectional notions of community, archive and government were articulated, and whose formal implications allowed to question the commands tension, the ordering and the property of the literary language. From those critics displacements, the argument is that the studied novels have contributed to the aesthetics dismantling of the oligarchic point of view, which organized the ways of seeing and feeling on the first decades of republic in Brazil. In this conjuncture of imaginary redefinitions, those narratives have changed the sharing of the common, stressing its necessary and impossible experience. |
